Chancey Design Partnership joins United States Green Building Council

Chancey Design Partnership has joined the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), strengthening the firm’s commitment to sustainable design.

USGBC is a national, non-profit organization made up of representatives from all areas of the building industry, and is the nation’s leading authority on sustainable building technologies. USGBC is guided by the principle of “utilizing technical and scientific data to protect, preserve and restore the health of the global environment, ecosystems and species”. USGBC is responsible for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) Green Building Rating System, the most respected and recognized green building rating system in use.

Chancey Design joins USGBC in its vision for restoring “harmony between human activities and natural systems” and has begun a company wide initiative to research and appropriately incorporate the latest developments in sustainable materials, specifications and design strategies. We are committed to the creation of buildings and communities which conserve natural resources and cost less to operate and maintain.

Chancey Design advocates the use of the LEED™ Green Building Rating System as a tool for measuring our design decisions in relation to sustainability. We are currently pursuing LEED certification on the future CDP office building, now under construction in Tampa’s historic district of Ybor City. Several of our firm members are actively seeking LEED™ Professional Accreditation.

CDP remains committed to service and design excellence, and we strive to seamlessly integrate a passion for sustainability into our core values of creativity, dedication, passion and fun.
