Jamilla Calderon

Jamilla Calderon brings a unique blend of design, engineering, and hands-on construction experience to her role as an Interior Design Associate at Chancey Interior Design. Born and raised in rural Iowa, Jamilla earned her BFA in Interior Design from Iowa State University, where she remains a passionate Cyclone fan.

Before joining Chancey, Jamilla worked with a structural engineering firm, managing and designing custom home projects from initial concept through move-in. She also brings 12 years of military experience, spending much of her career with engineer companies physically building infrastructure ranging from schools and roadways to military bases.

Outside of the studio, Jamilla enjoys floral arranging, gardening, traveling, running, volleyball, and all kinds of creative crafts.
