Caitlyn Shaw
Bringing a global perspective and a passion for sustainable design, Caitlyn Shaw is an Architectural Designer at Chancey Architecture. Originally from Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, Caitlyn’s diverse background informs her approach to creating spaces that enhance quality of life while promoting environmental stewardship.
Caitlyn moved to the United States in 2018 to pursue her Master’s in Architecture at the University of South Florida, graduating in 2024. Her thesis focused on sustainable modular housing for underserved communities in South Africa, fueling her commitment to addressing housing inequality through innovative, eco-friendly design solutions.
Her professional focus includes residential architecture, sustainable practices, and community-centered projects. Caitlyn is particularly passionate about designing spaces that foster social connection while minimizing environmental impact.
Outside of work, Caitlyn enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, yoga, and spending time near the beach. She also loves road trips, exploring new places, and drawing inspiration from the landscapes she encounters.
